So, while in the area, I managed to wring out a free morning to retread some familiar ground and scale Ingleborough from the Horton side. It's a long but easy walk in, a nice even climb, and there are some truly spectacular views waiting at the top. On a clear day, if you look west, you can see all the way down to Morcambe Bay and the Irish Sea. Alas, this wasn't what you might call a clear day. It was generally cloudy, but it was warm and the rain did hold off, which is almost always good in my book. There was even the odd bright spell.
